Cold Sealing Kits
Optotec’s FOCUS range of patented fibre optic closure cold applied sealing kits. Seal kits consist of either an oval or round port insert supporting a varied range of incoming cable diameters and number of cables in order to provide high mechanical and environmental protection.
The cold applied seal kit slides into the opened round or oval port on the base of the enclosure. Once positioned, the socket-head fixations located on the bottom face of each seal are tightened which expands the seal material to fill any cavities or uneven surfaces to guarantee high level of ingress protection (IP 68).
Inside every seal kit are all the components to prepare and mechanically terminate all type of fibre optic cables with different constructions whether installation is for the round or oval ports on Optotec’s ODC, CODC or MSC closure portfolio.
In addition to the cold seal kits for the ODC, CODC and MSC there is a new range of seal kits to accompany Optotec’s brand new MAX closure range. These seal kits have been developed with micro-sheath, ribbon style small diameter cabling in mind.
