MAX FTTH Closures

Daro Connectivity are pleased to be able to introduce a new outside plant fibre optic joint closure family from our partner Optotec which has been particularly developed for fibre to the home (FTTH) networks.

Optotec’s MAX closure range is a new and modern concept of cable termination and splicing intended to expedite installation and minimise volumetric space used within man-holes, foot-way boxes and poles.

Utilising the proven SAMR (splice array module, reduced width) high density splice array modules providing excellent fibre management. Users have the option of heat-shrink (HS) splice sleeve or ANT mechanical splice cassette designs and splice capacities ranging from 96 to 384 fibres depending on MAX closure size and type of SAMR modules installed.

MAX closures are environmentally sealed single-ended ‘dome-type’ closure for the fibre management system that provides the function of splicing and passive optical component integration in the outside plant network.

Intended for terminating micro-sheath, ribbon (IBR), dielectric cables and have provision to support all common cable diameters. Base and dome are sealed via a quad-lock clamp-gasket system. MAX closures are naturally compliant with FTTH requirements and safety requests relating to over pressurisation.

Base includes one oval entry port for looped (un-cut) cable and four round ports for drop cable entry/exit. Cable entries are controlled via cold seal entry/exit kits (no flame required) supporting small diameter cabling. Un-cut buffer tube storage space is available behind the splice tray stack.
