The Miller® FTS series Buffer Tube Scorers are a resilient engineering polymer tool with hardened carbon steel blade designed for scoring buffer tubes in fibre optical central and stranded loose tube cables. Colour coded in three separate colours, each suitable for different buffer tube constructions making it easy for field engineers and cabling technicians to select the right tool for the application.

Blades are factory set, meaning that no in-use adjustments need to be undertaken. Tool design makes operation very intuitive and efficient, squeezing the tool allows it to be quickly positioned on the correct buffer tube whilst a finger in the loop can be used to rotate the tool around the buffer tube.

This produces a neat & clean ring cut on the respective buffer tube, this scribed circumferential cut can then be neatly broken and removed exposing the optical fibres contained therein without damaging or nicking them.
