Miller® MSAT® 5 series 5-Channel mid-span fibre access tool; lightweight, durable and rugged engineering polymer construction with five channels designed to make mid-span access openings in central loose or stranded multi-loose tube fibre optic cables. Sizing of buffer tube can be verified on the external edge of the tool prior to opening and ensuring correct channel. Channel five is the smallest rising to the largest (channel 1).

Unhooking the locking mechanism opens the tool, lay the required buffer tube into the correct channel and close the tool ensuring the locking mechanism engages securing the buffer tube within the tool. The ergonomic design allows the tool to glide along the buffer tube and the blade will shave the tube as the tool is pulled along.

In addition to the 5 series there is the new Miller® MSAT® 16 sixteen channel mid-span fibre access tool. A lightweight, durable and rugged engineering polymer construction with sixteen unique diameter settings. Designed to make mid-span access openings in central loose or stranded multi-loose tube fibre optic cables. Sizing of buffer tube can be verified on the external edge of the tool. Patent-pending design features a self-aligning, easy-to-load buffer tube channel that supports & guides the tube through precision shaving operation.

Its ergonomic design allows the tool to glide along the buffer tube and the blade will shave the tube as the tool is pulled along. Spring-loaded design feature eliminates need to lock or clamp tool while in use.
