Outdoor Central Tube Cable
Daro Connectivity is an authorised distributor of Kerpen Datacom’s GigaLine® KL-A-DQ(ZN)B2Y 1xn G/E range of outdoor central tube cables. Outdoor cable for direct installation in the ground, in conduits and where there is increased risk of rodent damage in MAN (city) and LAN (campus/backbone) networks.
Suitable for use in structured cabling according to ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173. Ideal for applications from class OF 300 to OF 10000 according to fibre type. Easy to install thanks to the grease-free, dry cable core design, ideal for splicing.
Installation indoors and outdoors in dry conduits, on covered cable trays, in cable ducts or directly in the ground (in a sand bed). Mechanical cable pulling with winches is only permitted in parallel with use of recording Force measuring devices.
Central filled loose tube containing up to twenty-four 250-micron fibres protected by a layer of non-metallic (glass yarns) providing rodent protection and encapsulated within a black polyethylene (PE) UV resistant cable sheath.
Outdoor Central Tube cables are available with various fibre performance grades to suit a wide range of installation requirements. Spanning single mode, laser optimised multi-mode (LOMMF) 50/125 grades OM3, OM4 and the more recent wide band multi-mode (WBMMF) OM5 fibre.
