Outdoor Multi Tube Cable

Daro Connectivity is an authorised distributor of Kerpen Datacom’s GigaLine® KL-A-DQ(ZN)B2Y nxm G/E range of outdoor multi tube cables. Outdoor cable for direct installation in the ground, in conduits and where there is a risk of rodent damage in MAN (city networks and LAN (campus/backbone).

Suitable for use in structured cabling according to ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173. Ideal for all applications from Class OF 300 to OF 10000 according to fibre type. Easy to install due to grease-free, dry cable core. Suitable for splicing.

Installation indoors and outdoors in dry conduits, on covered cable trays, in cable ducts or directly in the ground (in a sand bed). Mechanical cable pulling with winches is only permitted in parallel with use of recording Force measuring devices.

Stranded filled loose tube Ø 2.4 mm with max. 12 fibres and dummy elements (where applicable) stranded around a central supporting element protected by a layer of non-metallic (glass yarns) providing rodent protection and encapsulated within a black polyethylene (PE) UV resistant cable sheath.

Outdoor Multi Tube cables are available with various fibre performance grades to suit a wide range of installation requirements. Spanning single mode, laser optimised multi-mode (LOMMF) 50/125 grades OM3, OM4 and the more recent wide band multi-mode (WBMMF) OM5 fibre.
