Planar Waveguide Circuit (PLC) Optical Splitters
Daro Connectivity provides a range of 1xN, 2xN splitters, PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitter modules and mini splitters modules.
PLC splitters utilise optical waveguide chips, which rely on Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (P-CVD) technology and its patented fabrication process to provide stable optical characteristics. The silica on silica waveguide and optical fibre array are precisely aligned within an ultra-compact package tested to Telcordia GR-1209 and GR-1221.
The package features low Insertion Loss, low Polarization Dependent Loss and high port uniformity. The splitter modules are available with 1xN up to 64 and 2xN up to 32 channel configurations and can be supplied pre-terminated with various connectorised LGX style cassette modules or in splitter patch panels.
