Optotec FOCUS Fibre Management Splice Array Modules (SAMR/SAMX)
Optotec’s FOCUS (fibre optic connecting unit system) high-density splice array modules (SAM-HD) and high-density splice array modules with reduced mounting footprint (SAMR-HD).
FOCUS SAM products are utilised throughout the FOCUS ODC, CODC, DOC, CDOC, micro-splice and micro splice-patch outside plant closures. They are also utilised across their NGB range of indoor SDU (single dwelling unit) and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) fibre optic enclosure products for inside plant fibre optic network applications.
Designed to offer a fibre management system encompassing simplicity, accessibility, reliability and future-proof scalability. Modules comprise of a variable number of trays (from one to six) whose typology changes according to their splice holder type. There are two different types of splicing array modules; SAM-HD consists of a set number of splice trays with a wrap-around plate (WAP) and SAMR-HD consists of a set number of splice trays and a reduced footprint wrap-around plate (WAP).
Splice array modules are available to support single fibre heat shrink, mechanical or multi-fibre (ribbon) splicing. Options also exist for PLC splitter component integration. Wrap-around plates and SAM trays are injection moulded from a high-quality thermoplastic ABS-PC alloy in light grey (RAL 7035) with UL-94 V0 flammability rating as standard, other colours available upon request. Tray covers (for the top tray) are available to order separately (reference PN: FOCUS-UC-UNIVERSAL-COVER).
