For use in highly sensitive buildings with very high fire protection requirements such as escape routes, care and support facilities, hospitals etc. For campus / backbone cabling and for use in structured cabling according to ISO / IEC 11801 and EN 50173. Particularly suitable for the Assembly of dividers for pre-assembled trunks and for splicing.

House entries without additional interconnection points (Splices) possible. Installation indoors and outdoors in dry conduits, on covered cable trays or directly in the ground (sand bed). Mechanical cable pulling with winches is only permitted in parallel with use of recording Force measuring devices.

Twelve 250-micron fibre filled loose tubes and dummy elements (where applicable) stranded around a central glass-fibre reinforced supporting element protected by a layer of non-metallic (glass yarns) providing rodent protection and encapsulated within a black low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) UV resistant cable sheath.

Universal Multi Tube cables are available with various fibre performance grades to suit a wide range of installation requirements. Spanning single mode, laser optimised multi-mode (LOMMF) 50/125 grades OM3, OM4 and the more recent wide band multi-mode (WBMMF) OM5 fibre.
